Can I connect my transmitter directly via USB to my PC without using the VRCLink?
This is indeed possible with certain radios, but it is not the ideal solution for simracing:
In USB mode, the internal microcontroller must continuously execute a computer communication protocol (USB joystick / HID device emulation). It transforms stick signals into complex digital data streams for Windows while managing the polling rate. The processor remains constantly under full load.
The VRCLink solution: By connecting a receiver directly to the VRCLink box, you benefit from a true Plug & Play system. Your radio remains dedicated to its primary use, you preserve your battery and your USB port, and you get back the exact same driving feel as on the real track, without being bothered by a connection cable attached to the remote control.
Compatibility
Which radio controllers are compatible with the adapter?
The adapter is designed to work with major radio brands used in modeling, such as Sanwa, Futaba, FlySky, and others featuring a standard trainer port or PPM output. Check the product specifications for exact pinouts and connection details.
Is this adapter compatible with VRC Pro?
Yes. It is custom-built specifically for VRC Pro to ensure a reliable connection, low latency, and precise control feedback matching your physical hardware.
Setup & Installation
Do I need to install specific drivers?
No specific proprietary drivers are usually required. The device is recognized as a standard game controller by your PC. Simply plug it in, calibrate your axes within VRC Pro settings, and you are ready to drive.
How do I calibrate my radio in the simulator?
Once connected, launch VRC Pro, go to the controls calibration menu, and follow the on-screen instructions to map your steering and throttle channels. Make sure your radio trims are centered before starting the calibration process. You can follow the installation procedure on the "Start" page of the website.
Can I play VRC Pro on Android or Mac?
No, VRC Pro is exclusively available on Windows.
